All colleges have financial aid application priority deadlines. A financial aid deadline may be a different date than an admissions application deadline. It is your responsibility to make sure that your applications are filed on time. Failure to meet the college's deadline date may result in no aid being offered by the college or university. Financial aid applications will require prior year's tax information. You do not have to complete your income tax return prior to completing a financial aid application. You may user estimated tax information, many schools will have a financial aid deadline that is before the April tax filing deadline. It is imperative that you complete the application prior to the school's deadline.
